The Taj Lake Palace in India is one luxurious lakeside resort that is fitting for those who wanted to have a romantic getaway with a loved one. Back in the 18th century, the 62nd ruler, Maharana Jagat Singh II built the resort with romance on his mind located at Lake Pichola in India’s Rajasthan state. It covered almost 4-acres of the island.

It has the look of a fairytale ambience, white marble palace; exquisite lamps lighted all around the place…people had a hard time describing the place. It is not surprising since, according to legend Maharana Jagat Singh II wanted to go to a picnic under the moonlight with a beautiful girl but his father did not allow him to do what he wanted and he told his son that in order for him to do that, he has to build his own palace. When he succeeded his father to the throne, that is the very first thing he did.

When it was finished, he invited every beautiful lass in their community and lavishly celebrated its inauguration.

Today, it is still as beautiful as it was centuries ago. It became one of the favorite vacation hot spot of the likes of Vivien Leigh, Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis, and the Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 12th July 2008

There is an increase of high-end resorts in Eastern Europe. The main reason is that the affluent community is trying to go to the unchartered travel destinations. Their upscale taste for extravagance is quite getting more discriminating and so they want something more depth in their vacation trips. They want not only the most luxurious in the world but they like to match it up with culture and history.

The Chateau Mcely is one club hotel and forest retreat that is truly designed for people who wants nothing but the best.

In 2004, American businessman Jim Cusumano purchased a government property in Czech Republic on a whim from his wife who apparently was a real estate agent in that area. It is located in the very heart of St. George Forest. A chateau was included in the property. They renovated it with the best materials that could rival any leading exclusive resort in the world. They installed Italian marble for the flooring and lush, rich fabrics for curtains, upholstery and bed coverings. They decorated it with 17th century furniture that is just fit for royalty.

It was opened in March of 2006 and since then, it has welcomed so many rich and famous people who wanted to experience a neoclassical romantic getaway with all the modern convenience a 5-class hotel can offer.

The Chateau Mcely can take in guests all year round may it be in summer or during winter. The temperature can get into a below 0 centigrade but the colder season is the Chateau staff’s favorite time of the year. They are equally prepared and equipped for all the cross-country skiing or a walk on the winter park. It is an enchanting place during Christmas.

They are regarded as one of the most exclusive places in Europe. Take a peek on their reservation rates for their 24 rooms and a few suites: ChateauRates.
