Ski and live in a James Bond-like Chalet in Ferme de Moudon, Les Gets, France

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 13th November 2008

Winter Season means nonstop skiing and one of the best places to do is rent La Ferme de Moudon. It is a 17th century chalet with interiors reminiscent of a James Bond movie. Every nook and corner is oozing with ultimate luxury.

Invite 9 more people and give them a week of blissful seclusion in Les Gets and the magnificent views of the French Alps with an extremely efficient staff of five to pamper your every need.

The location itself is already one great advantage. The interiors of the Chalet will make every guest want to stay longer.  All the furniture was chosen to fit the contemporary sleek design Nicky Dobree made for the Chalet. The much-needed facilities that one can go without even in vacation are installed in the chalet.

Ferme De Moudon boasts of having a 17th century manor which was given a contemporary design along with all the high-tech gadgets this modern world can offer. Even if you are quite secluded from the outside world, you can still stay connected with a wireless Internet broadband setup.

After a run in the slopes, one can have a soothing massage or just dip and relax in an outdoor hot tub while your chef whipped up your favorite dishes in a state-of-the-art Italian kitchen. Watch your favorite shows on the giant plasma TV or read a book from their library.

Former guests are wowed by the incredible service they offer. It is often likened to the service one usually get from a 5-star hotel. Prices range from £11,575 to £29,180 per week depending upon the season.

Bundle up Your Skis, Go to Klosters and Stay at Chalet Eugenia

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 31st October 2008

One of the perfect skiing spot in Europe is at Klosters Ski Resort in Switzerland. His Royal Highness Prince Charles along with his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry love to go skiing and snowboarding there each time they crave to glide down the Swiss slope. The popular resort even named the main cable car, “Prince of Wales”.

However, if you want to stay in a hotel, you only have very few choices and the usual thing to do there is to rent luxury Chalets. One of the best chalets out there is the Chalet Eugenia.

The reason that the place is so appealing to the rich and famous who love to stay low key is the privacy it offers, plus the fact that it has the perfect location inside the village. While it was built in such a way that it is sort of secluded and it has acres of open space before reaching the neighboring chalets, it will also only take you a few minutes to reach the main business street in the area.

Chalet Eugenia is a perfect place for a family or small group of friends. There are enough sleeping accommodations for 12 people.  Each suite has its own balcony so every guest has the chance to see the impressive views of the surroundings. The chalet is fully equipped with the luxury must-have facilities such sauna, steam room, ski room, wine cellar, grand piano to name a few.

One major perk is that the Chalet comes with 6 staff to give every guest the pampering they need during a vacation plus a chauffeur driven limousine service whenever you need to hop to another place.

Enjoy skiing at one of the best skiing spot in the world and have the royal pampering you richly deserve.

Experience Ski-Slope Luxury at Chesa Albertini in St. Moritz

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 10th October 2008

Do you have plans to go skiing this winter season? You better arrange everything this early so you can choose the best accommodation there is and what better way to try your new pair of skis by going to St. Moritz Resort and rent The Chesa Albertini.

St. Moritz is the heart of the Swiss elite. Name any celebrity on the British entertainment A-list or even the members of the Royal family who loves to go skiing and I will not be surprised if they put St. Moritz on top of their favorite ski destination.

When you plan to go to such a beautiful place, it is only fitting you stay at one of the best private residences in that area. The Chesa Albertini is strategically located near St. Moritz. It was built back in 1665 and owned by the same family for the last 350 years. The renovation of the stunning mansion took about 12 years. It may have a long history but do not expect it to be an old fashioned type of establishment. It was refurbished under the supervision of one of the leading contemporary designers in Zurich, Hannes B. It is a combination of the best of both worlds, the unique old designs with contemporary furniture and fixtures.

It can accommodate 16 guests and it comes with personal gourmet catering, chauffeur, household staff that will make your stay there pleasurable beyond words.

Expect to shell out around US$50,000 to $92,000 for a one-week stay at Chesa Albertini. If you want the best then you are expected to pay a certain price. I believe every penny is worth the Swiss experience.

Luxury Ski Resorts

Posted by Maria Eliza Raymundo on 24th May 2008

A luxury ski resort is another type of luxury resort that mainly features facilities that revolves around the sports of skiing and snowboarding, cuisine, and world-class amenities that would make it a must-visit destination ski resort. It is usually located in areas where skiing is a popular activity, in high mountainous snow areas where there is almost all-year round snow coverage. A luxury ski resort would either be an exclusive village of high-end accommodations in itself, or includes an elite ski town or village of amenities adjacent to the ski resort.

While a ski resort gains reputation through its popular runs, trails, or pistes, a luxury ski resort stands out from the rest through its ultra-comfortable accommodations, international cuisine, expensive interior design and featured art pieces, open fireplaces, flatscreen TVs and digital movies, wireless Internet, music, games, manicured gardens, or grand architecture, among others. Aside from the main sports of skiing and snowboarding, a luxury ski resort usually offers other snow-based activities such as sledding, ice-skating, snowmobiling, swimming, or hottubbing.
