Villa Contenta in Miami, Privacy and Luxury At Its Best

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 14th November 2008

Most people want the grand service that every 5-star hotel can offer but they want to be secluded from the other guests. At Villa Hotel Contenta in Miami they offer both.

Now you can enjoy private parties with an efficient first class hotel trained staff in a very luxurious villa. Imagine a presidential suite inside a villa. You can have access to all the amenities that a hotel can provide plus the comforts of your very own home in just one place. Incredible, isn’t it?

This luxurious vacation lifestyle was conceptualized and operated by Villazzo Villa Hotels. Everything anyone would need in a vacation, they can provide.  Fly to Miami via a private jet. From the runway, a chopper will be waiting for you to fly you over to a beachfront wherein a stylish Ferrari with a charming driver is standing by and will drive you towards the Villa.

The moment you step on to the Villa, everyone is at your beck and call. You can plan your day to whatever you want and the staff would arrange them for you. The service and facilities you thought only the big hotels can provide, well, I got a newsbreak for you, the Villa Contenta can!

Privacy is one requirement that those hotels cannot 100% provide no matter how big and luxurious they are. At Villa Contenta, you might have uniformed staff around but they do not stay in the Villa. The management made sure that there is a nearby headquarters wherein all the staff and crew can stay. Their presence will depend on what the guest want.

This Spanish Colonial designed villa is the home of the Villazzo founder himself and so from his Villa-Hotel properties, expect this one to be the most luxurious. It will cost you around $13,300 to stay in the private villa for just one night.

Experience Bali, The Amandari Way

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 17th October 2008

Every single jetsetter around the world knew the beauty of Bali in Indonesia and there is no better way to experience it by staying at Amandari.

This was the hotel that helped boost tourism in Bali.  Amandari’s unique design captured by international photographers drew the fabulous, the frontrunners and the filthy rich to this small island.

While Architect Peter Muller received many accolades because of his stunning work in Amandari, the magic did not stop with its physical structure. The service that the staff are giving to the guests are superb. Take for example the way their maintain the grass of the garden. The normal way is to use a lawnmower, however, they felt that the noise from the machine will just disturbed their guests; they opted to do them by hand.

They rarely say no to any of the request coming from the guests. Service at Amadari is impeccable.

The resort offers different activities to suit each customer’s preference. If you want to do some water sport activity, they have plenty. If you feel you just want a more laidback vacation and just read a novel, then they have a library loaded with interesting books.

But, what makes it more interesting aside from the first class concierge services?

Amandari has stand-alone huge suites.  Each suite has around 1,100 to 1,600 square feet lot area with marble floors, four poster beds, private courtyard and a stunning spa-like bathroom.  You might just get lucky and be placed on a suite with your very own pool. Talk about privacy. With a suite like that, who wants to go out and mingle?

By the way, if you cannot last a weekend with a round of golf, don’t despair because the island has three different golf courses which are around an hour’s away from Amandari. One of them was designed by former British Open champion Greg Norman and another one which was uniquely designed over an extinct volcano.

This Balinese Village-like designed hotel and resort has captivated many travelers worldwide and by just looking at the images here will undoubtedly make you plan your next vacation in Amandari. You can view the rates and the availability here.

Posted by Jess Dayuno on 21st July 2008

It has a feel of a private exclusive club but a friendlier one. The Pink Sands Resort in Harbour Island in Bahamas serves as a celeb hideaway.

The 20-acre luxury beach resort is aptly named inspired by the world famous pink sand that covers three miles of the area. The cottages built around the beach accentuated the pink sand, as they are all pastel-colored. Their spacious rooms are beautifully designed and strategically located so the guests will enjoy more privacy from other people. They have their patios and own pathways going to the beach and that is one of the reasons why Hollywood megastar, Julia Roberts have been spotted several times there.

The owner Chris Blackwell made sure that all guests would have fully equipped rooms. Each room was installed with all the entertainment and modern gadgets so they can enjoy both worlds: nature and technology at its best.

The resort cuisine is excellent focusing more on Caribbean dishes mixed with Asian and Bahamian. They do have a nightly 4-course dinner for guests while Lunch and Breakfast are served with less formal ambience.  They also offer romantic candlelight dinner for those who prefer them.

While the guests can freely use the in-house amenities like Jacuzzi, tennis courts, freshwater swimming pool, massages, gym and library among others; they can also enjoy different water off-site activities like Bone, Reef & Deep Sea Fishing; Scuba Diving; Snorkeling, etc. The resort staff can make arrangements for them although advance reservations are required.

With all the privacy, amenities and spectacular scenic beach views, it is no surprising that the Pink Sands Resort received many awards and recognitions such as the InStyle Coolest Hotel in Bahamas, included in Travel & Leisure’s Top 500 Hotels, Top 25 Caribbean Spot, etc.

It is quite easy to get there. The resort is around 20 minutes away from the Eleuthera International Airport via land or water. If guests are coming from the US, Continental Connections has a couple of flights each day via Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. If guests are coming from Europe British Airways has direct flights from London to Nassau.

However, most guests flies over via their own private jets so it would only take a short time for them to get there and stroll in the pink sands.
