The Arenas Del Mar is one of the most popular eco-luxury resorts in Costa Rica. Eco-resorts are vacation resorts which are promoting eco-awareness. Many people these days are very much into anything ‘green’. Saving the planet is one of their advocacy.
Going green in every aspect of the community is now being experimented and so even the vacation resorts developers are trying to integrate this greener planet advocacy to tourism.
Costa Rica’s Arenas Del Mar is a beachfront resort located in a rainforest specifically beside the popular Manuel Antonio National Park along the Manuel Antonio beaches in the Pacific coast.
The owners of Arenas Del Mar operates the resort with the concept of love for nature and sustainability while making sure that guests will be treated to a luxurious environment. It is quite an ambitious approach but they were able to make it work.
Rainforest hiking is one of the highlight that the resort can offer. Its location alone gives the resort an advantage in being to give the guests a chance to experience nature at its best: rainforest and unspoiled beach. This eco-luxury resort is best for those who love nature and outdoor activities. Arenas Del Mar prepared many outdoor activities such as rainforest hiking, kayak, whitewater rafting, sport fishing, horseback riding to name a few.
Even if the resort is minimizing its impact on nature, they are still offering luxurious accommodations. The resort operates under a sustainability tourism program which preserves nature while improving the lives of the local community. Some of the key elements in the program includes: use of solar powered panels in heating the water, cleaning the pool waters thru ionization system, recycling programs such as waste water used for irrigation, use of electric cars, energy saving bulbs, some of the materials used in building the resort are from recycled materials, etc.
