When you talk about Hollywood glamour and glitz history, Palm Springs desert getaways has plenty of it and one of them is Korakia Pensione. Since its inception up to this day, they managed to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the famous stars that stayed on the resort.

Korakia take great pride in calling itself, “the experiential resort”. The moment you step in the grounds and look at this Moroccan-inspired getaway, it will give you an impression that it is going to be an unforgettable vacation.
It is located at the very heart of Southern California desert. Korakia Pensione is a combination of a couple of historic magnificent Moroccan-inspired villas with several bungalows, cottages, gardens and pools, which all in all is around 1.5 acres of land.

This “experiential resort” gives the guests a chance to free their minds from work and all the rooms are not installed with televisions and telephones to make the vacation a distraction free retreat. However, for those who need to be connected to the outside world, the Korakia management made sure that it is WiFi equipped. The resort also offers different services and amenities which are truly fit for the Hollywood elite. Imagine yourself taking a dip into one of the heated pools at night while cinema classics are being shown on a huge screen with unique torches around the area which makes it somehow intimate and quite romantic.

Almost all the suites were designed with their own kitchen and fireplaces, which is quite wonderful because it gives an option for the guest to try to cook if they want to. However, this resort is strictly for ages 14 and above. Another no-no in the resort are pets because they are not equipped to accommodate them.
Korakia Pensione is one favorite resort of some popular people from the movie industry and has a long list of famous guests since it was built in 1924. Perhaps, the dramatic and intimate setting of the resort attracts plenty of those with artistic flair and those who love the eclectic feel of the resort. It is nor surprising anymore since one of the villas in the resort has one great Scottish painter as a former resident, Gordon Coutts.
Go and relax like the stars in this luxurious desert getaway in Palm Springs. With just a few clicks you can make your reservations online and find out why those celebrities love to take a break in this resort.

If you are looking for a luxurious lakeside resort, there is nothing compared to the Palafitte Hotel at Lake Neuchatel in Switzerland.

Lake Neuchatel is regarded as the largest lake which is completely inside the boundaries of Switzerland. It is the home of the Palafitte Hotel. It is a truly modern, state-of-the-art hotel where their junior suites are built literally on the lake itself supported by stilts or columns. This was made possible through the hotel’s partnership with a tech company like Siemens Corporation.

It was in Spring 2002 when they started to operate and one that has an ambience of serene, relax, laidback lakeside feel to it. Although it has a very unique setting, it boasts of a five star standard of excellence.
All in all it has 40 junior suites of which a unit can accommodate 1 to 3 persons. Each suite has its own private terrace overlooking the water and has a direct entry to the lake itself. All of them aside from the bedroom and bathroom has an office area.

One of the main pleasures of staying in the lakeside hotel is the chance to wine and dine in their own private quarters while in the middle of the lake. However, the hotel’s restaurant and bar are also first class. A guest is entitled on a 24/7 room service which includes secretarial, valet, security and transportation services.

It may sound so far or out of reach since it’s a lakeside resort, however, it is located in Monruz which is very accessible to travelers and tourists. Check this link for air, road or train options in going there.

Nizuc beach resort is a combination of nature’s gift and legendary stunning designer Adrian Zecha. He is the man responsible for the beautiful Aman Resorts and GHM Hotels.

One can get to Nizuc easily. It is just a few minutes away from the nearest airport, which is Cancun. Fly via private aircraft and try to experience one of the most exclusive and secluded beach resorts in the world. It is located in an area, which is surrounded by an ecological reserve, which contains around 22 acres of mangroves. Definitely nature at its very best.

Mr. Zecha and his team carefully planned and designed every nook and corner of the resort and the result is absolutely amazing. It is really quite hard to put into words the kind of work Adrian Zecha put in Nizuc and I might not be able to give justice to its beauty so I would just le the photos do the talking.
